Tasked to design an office building in the semester prior, we were grouped into teams to take select projects into the next stage of design, design development. This involved breaking the building down into feasibly constructable building systems, and working through the next round of design process: rationalization of form into building. What this meant for our team was a great deal of parametric design tools, Cinema 4D, Code studies, simulations, and adobe premier and after effects were quickly adopted and honed for the execution for an MP4 deliverable. Along the way we consulted with structural and MEP engineers, and worked through how you would attempt to apply rational building systems within complex assemblages of geometry.
