I spent a week drawing five different views of Riverine interventions into this speculative urbanism. Water is simulatenously superfluous as an urban element and yet inextricably connected with how we engage with nature. One of the four key elements in Japanese garden design, it might be it’s ability to transcend scale so readily that makes it so useful. A trickle, to a dramtic water fall, it situates us in the scale of how these molecules diffuse in the face of elevation change and gravity. They may act as wind vanes, cooling strategies, navigational elements, the list is endless...
