Drawings of a Rooftop Urban Intervention
How do we conceive of rooftop spaces? Is it an extension of the urban landscape, or staging for mechanical equipment and PVC on tapered rigid insulation? I took several days drawing the possibilities of how an aggregated urbanism might utilize/understand itself when being high and looking down or across. There is the artifical-natural dichotomy, and then there is the question of, do you need to flee the city, if we begin articulating the city as an undeveloped natural landscape itself? What kinds of programs can exist in these spaces?
